The first "Oktoberfest" took place on October 12, 1810, Crown Prince Ludwig (later King Ludwig I) celebrated his marriage to Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. And so, the tradition carries on, every year in Munich, and everyday in the World Showcase, for lunch and dinner.
Inspired by a German town square, diners sit at long tables with benches, in a dining room that surrounds a stage and features entertainment by a lederhosened oompah band. Lots of food (and lots of beer) inspires guest to dance and sing along, having a knee slapping goodtime.
Biergarten is very popular. Advanced reservations are strongly recommended.
