The Tangierine Cafe is one of our favorite stops for a quick lunch on the World Showcase. We can't say that it is is extraordinary Mediterranean food. If you live in a large city with a diverse population, there are probably plenty of local cafes with fare just as good if not better and no doubt cheaper. But, you are not in your home town. You are standing on the World Showcase, looking for someplace to eat.
Then what is it we like so much about the Tangierine Cafe? First of all, given the general fast food choices around, we find the offering to be tasty and more interesting than many of the other choices, also vegetarian entrée is probably without a doubt the best non-meat quick meal available in Epcot.
There is seating indoors, but our strong recommendation is to go and sit out around the side on the covered patio. Amidst the noise and hubbub of the World Showcase, we find the patio at the Tangierine Cafe, with its soothing tones and mosaics to be a welcome oasis. We like to relax and enjoy our meal, then perhaps get a specialty coffee and dessert from the coffee bar and linger some more.
If you find yourself hungry and tired and perhaps wanting to escape from it all, the Tangierine Cafe might just be the ticket.
